What about the 'you're only here for the popcorn' chant that a section of the BML was singing towards the corner at the same time. That couldnt have been directed at the stewards.
From where i was standing it did come across like some idiots got the wrong end if the stick and weren't directing it at the stewards

I make Bushey right tbf. It's a bit of a shit song to sing at stewards ain't it? A "where were you at..." song is 99% of the time aimed at fans. And its unlikely anyone would sing it at away fans when the last bit is the home teams old ground?

Johnson, Strong Dreams and Bruuuuuno have it spot on.
It was sung at the stewards who were trying to forcibly eveict a bunch of fans for standing. Everyone near me was singing it at the top of their voices as it threatened to kick off down in 140/141.
I loved it! For me it was like bringing a bit of the old into the new.

Although I agree with Johnson if I was a betting man I reckon over half of those singing it in the BML did suggest it was for the new supporters to the OS and not the stewarding.

Personally I'd rather a be surrounded by a load of enthusiastic "new fans" than a load of self-righteous bellends who think that they've got some god-given right to look down on other supporters cos they may or may not have had a season ticket at Upton Park in the "good old days".
